Nikon D40

Is my goal. I really would love to get an SLR Digital Camera, and since I'm a photog n00b, that camera seems GREAT for me. I'm going to work hard, and hopefully I'll have enough moolah to get it. That's the ONLY thing I'm going to splurge on. I need to be frugal with my money, since I may have to pay for school by myself this semester. D:
Anyway, that's what I wanted to say. The D40 is IN MY SIGHTS!

I think I'll hyperventilate...

So I'm going to New Mexico. Nice!~ :D So I'm gonna see my grandma. Yay! So I'm going to make money while I'm there. Terrific! So there's no internet. WHAT!?!?!?! NOoooo, you're joking right?! You're just fooling with me, yes!? Nope. Oh God...Ok. It'll be ok. They have a cell tower, so at least I'll have my texting. maybe? hahaha oh god. My head is hurting. 2 months. this will be a test. Which I am totally up for. At least the good outweighs the bad. I can't wait to travel by myself. This is gonna be interesting. Anyway, I'll be back by August, I HOPE. :D hahaha And I will hopefully have at least $1,500. I need it, really. When I come back, I'm going to try to find a job again though... I need a steady source of income.

Strawberry Festival Part 2.

So I woke up around 11am today, after waking up at 6am and going back to sleep! XD I woke up, and stuff was pretty much a blur, but at like 12, Ryan sent me a text and I knew. SECOND DAY OF THE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL! Haha So I tell him I'll be ready in a while, I clean out the fridge and other chores. So we headed to the festival, today was even MORE packed than yesterday! : o Lookin around for interesting things to do but only found amusement in mocking the weird lady singing jazz and the Celtic harp players! XD we're bad. Anyway, first half of the festival was alright, but then Ryan and I got the idea to take a FREE shuttle to the Camarillo outlets! Wooo!!! Haha damn, we were nervous but kept our cool. Camarillo Outlets were wayyy less packed than the festival! haha Most of our time there was spent looking for our friend Sinhue and friggin Savanna(h) haha. BREAKING NEWS: Earthquake just a few minutes ago, didn't feel it. eh. But yeah, back to my day... Umm were GONNA go to American Apparel ahahaha yeah it was just pretty pimp/gangsta that we snuck our way to Camarillo. Ran back to catch the (4,5? I forgot!!! XDDD):30 bus back to the festival. Driver was cool. Only me and Lodi on the bus ahhaha (no homo). She told us to be back by the last call time ahhahaha we weren't goin back though! XD Uhh, got back to the fest, still pretty damn packed!

Strawberry Festival Part 1.

Well, today I didn't think I was gonna do much. I woke up too early for my tastes but to a good meal. My little sister had to go to one of her friend's houses on base to work on their science project, so my mum dropped her off there and then came back home. We went to Target to find this surprise for my sister for keeping her room clean, a pink comforter with pink pillows. Snazzy, eh? So we roamed Target for a while then decided we should get home before deciding to buy anything else. On our way out, Ryan gave me a call on my cell and he asked me what I was doing. I told him, that I was at Target, but would probably be doing nothing after. He surprised me by saying that he'd found a way to get us into the strawberry festival for free! :) I'd never been to a strawberry festival before, and I've always wondered what it'd be like. Expensive was one of my guesses and boy it was. haha I didn't get anything to eat while there, the main reason I went was to watch the various cover bands that were there. Rock and 80's hair metal, very nice genres. :) I was impressed with the blues band we saw, even though it's not exactly hard to play a 1-4-5 progression over and over haha. I liked the 80's rock/metal tribute band, their name slips my mind but they had two very good musicians in their group. Their drummer was pretty good, was impressed. Their guitar player was NICE. He killed "Eruption" though sounded like he added his own style in to it. Isn't that what it's all about though? There were a lot of Koreans and Asians in general haha I was surprised that they'd like Tejano music. That's when I noticed them, when this Tejano band was playing. After the band, Lodi and I walked around for a while, but I soon got kinda tired of it. It was 5, so I decided to go home. I hope to return tomorrow maybe, but if I don't, it'll be ok. I kinda wanna see the Journey tribute band though. BUT ANDERSON COOPER AT UCLA CALLS TO ME! I doubt I'll be able to go though, which greatly saddens me. :( I hope this won't be the only chance I get to meet him. Anyway, I end this story at home, where I watched some interesting stuff on NatGeoHD ondemand. :DDD Happy camper.

Mannn that sucks. It's a free event too! I don't know when I'm gonna have an opportunity to meet Anderson again! wahh! hahaha hopefully I will though.

Anyway, attempt at lucid dreaming #2.

It was like a Dawn of the Dead situation but idk exactly HOW I came to be in that mall. I was in a mall in Britain, and then all of a sudden... ALERT! BIO BREACH! Foreign agent detected in air! so the mall gets shut down, but for some reason, I have to manually lock the doors to the mall, and there's people scrambling to get in, but I CAN'T let them in, because they've breathed in the virus! : O
Trying to lock the doors while people are prying them open, adrenaline pumping! I could see in their faces that they were starting to change. The virus works so quickly! destroying the victim's white blood cells until there is no defense left. As I stared into the man's eyes who was trying to pry open the door, I felt sickened because I could still see somewhat into his soul...behind the rouge of his infected eyes was a person who felt and loved at one time.
Mall secured, now let's see if it will stand up to the masses of undead.
*greater detail: The guy that was trying to open the door had a desperation in his face at first, which turned to bloodlust and anger. very weird first dream.
Then I dreamed I was on the road to New Mexico, vistiting my grandma! Can't remember much, except my brother and I were at a convenience store and looking for food to eat.

I need to do more reality checks during the day! D: I need to get my mind used to asking itself if it is awake, or dreaming. This is key to lucid dreaming.

Tonight, we'll see what happens...

Lucid Dreaming

Anyway, one of the courses of action I've read(to induce lucid dreaming) is to keep a dream journal, so I did. right next to my bed. This is what I wrote down for last night(SURPRISING!):
Now this was after I was awakened by a STUPID STUPID STUPID marachi band playing at 6am across my street. I forever hate my across-the-street neighbors. >.< Anyway, the dreams I remember:
I met (somewhat) about meeting Anderson Cooper, I swear. But mostly I just dreamed I was reading his twitter updates... :/

I actually had the STUPID ASS MARIACHI in my dream for a few secs before I woke up.

I next hid in a toilet stall. It was either in a school or at the Morgan Stanley building in Oxnard.

I then was warped into an episode of Beverly Hills 90210 (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098749/) and there was drama between Brenda(Shannon Doherty) and Kelly (Jennie Garth).

I had a dream I wrote in Puro Pedo magazine and I was at a meeting with Joe hahaha which, the transition from 90210 to that, confused the HELL outta me.

I really had to poop(i don't know if in real life), but that warped me back into that damn toilet stall in the unknown building. Then I heard Ryan's voice outta nowhere, leave it to Ryan to disrupt me going to the bathroom(like he did when Joe,Little man,Ramon and him went to that thai place hahaha)

So I exit the bathroom and I walk into the school/Stanley Morgan building


This is the ONLY tall building in Oxnard haha

Anyway, the hallways were similar to the Morgan Stanley, angling around the structure like an octagon.
I WOKE UP!
then I decided to write what I had down, and fall back asleep, next sequence:
I DREAMED MY BOTTOM TEETH HAD FALLEN OUT! Which worried me a lot. That was just creepy so I woke up again.
it was 8:10am so I decided...Why not? hahaha
So I went to sleep for one last time and the next dream I had was even weirder...
Me.
Joe.
Burger.
FELIPE.(?![the homophobe])
at Osvaldo's house, WTF!? We were playing guitar and shit, and just hanging out. WEIRD. It was just an awkward feeling. So I know I wasn't having a lucid dream, because I'd have been able to control everything, including the awkwardness levels. haha
Anyway, I'll keep trying, have my alarm wake me up a little earlier so I can remember my dreams.
